38. Grief Yoga with Page Park
Tuesday Nov 08, 2022
Tuesday Nov 08, 2022
Grief yoga is a form of yoga but is also a little different. Grief yoga can help you lean into feelings that come along with events in your life that can feel painful and sad. It meets you where you're at to help you feel safe and secure, give you a sense of belonging, and help you learn to express your grief in a healthy way.
Today’s guest is Page Park. Her grief journey began with her divorce, followed by the death of both of her parents, and then the death of her brother, all within a relatively short time span. Understandably, she experienced a lot of grief, and had waves of emotions. During this time, she felt alone. She didn’t resonate with support groups. But it was through yoga that she was able to integrate her grieving feelings into who she is, so that when feelings of grief would come, she knew what to do and how to be with them.
If you have ever struggled with grief at any point in your life, this might be the thing the helps you move through it. Tune in to learn more!

37. Thrive with Human Design with Alison Van De Pol
Tuesday Nov 01, 2022
Tuesday Nov 01, 2022
Alison Van De Pol is a wife, mom, registered nurse, holistic health coach, and Human Design Specialist.
When Alison found Human Design, she quickly realized it was different from anything else. Her journey and her struggles up to that point suddenly made so much sense, she felt validated, and she had so many “ah-ha” moments. This was the missing piece to her puzzle, which is why Human Design is the unique foundation of her holistic coaching. Alison believes that being healthy, thriving, and loving life isn’t supposed to be difficult, and that it’s all simpler than we might think.
Wait until you hear Alison’s analogy of how human design is like the movies. It really clicked for me, and I know it will for you too. We talk about how you can use Human Design to not only understand yourself and others, but also how it’s a great way to help you thrive in your life.

36. Aliens & Spirit Animals with Dr. Lisa Thompson
Tuesday Oct 25, 2022
Tuesday Oct 25, 2022
Dr. Lisa Thompson is a Best-Selling Author, Speaker, Galactic Ambassador & Channeler, and Intuitive Transformational Coach who supports and empowers women to intentionally design their best life by living from their yes, so they can embrace self-love, trust their intuition, and gracefully move forward through their fears to take inspired action to live a life they love. She is an Evolutionary Biologist who understands the embodiment of the ancient DNA within humans and guides them in the intergalactic realm.
Today, we dive deep into aliens and spirit animals. We talk about how Lisa was taken by extraterrestrials when she was 15 years old, and how her esoteric upbringing really led her to where she is now. She is a former zoologist and interior designer, among many other things. And today, she works directly with many different alien races, and also gives UFO tours in her hometown in Hawaii.
If you are into this kind of thing, you are going to LOVE this episode, so make sure you tune in to hear more!
Five key takeaways from this episode:
- There are many ways to connect to your spirit animal. One way is by going on a shamanic meditative journey to see what animal comes to you. Another way is to notice what animals you have around you, such as in your home décor, or animals that you’re always drawn to. They may even show up for you in a dream, which just happened to me very recently.
- We can have different spirit animals that we call on for different purposes. They all have different meanings and qualities. Depending on what you have going on in your life, and what you need most right now, you may have the energy of different spirit animals around you.
- We are not meant to stay stuck. As humans, we are meant to keep following our passions and our joy. The more that we do that, the more our vibration will elevate. Not everyone is at that same vibration, and because of this, the more you step into your authentic self, the more you may notice people fall away and out of your orbit.
- There are many different species or races of extraterrestrials or galactic beings. At this time, there are about 160 different known races, and there are some that we know are not documented. Some aliens will appear to certain people in various forms. Some are within the earth’s atmosphere, especially where the veil is thin, in places like Hawaii. If you are interested in making a connection with aliens, the first step is to remove any fear you might have, and also embrace the diversity here on earth. Then, go into a meditative state and invite them in. Keep in mind that they probably won’t look how you expect them to.
- You can’t make up something that you haven’t experienced. It’s normal to think that your imagination may have gotten carried away, and your visions aren’t true, but if it’s real in your mind, then it’s real on some level.

35. Fixer Upper Parenting with Michelle Gano
Tuesday Oct 18, 2022
Tuesday Oct 18, 2022
Michelle Gano is an author, a mom of three, and a former teacher. Her mission is to help parents with kids ages 2 - 10 years old go from feeling tired and just trying to make it to bedtime to enjoying those childhood years, while also taking care of themselves.
She helps parents create an environment where kids will want to remember their childhood. She focuses on providing tools to parents to help their kids feel deeply loved and emotionally secure so that everyone can enjoy this time that passes so quickly.
Today, we talk about some of those tools, many of which will resonate even if you aren’t a parent or teacher, so tune in to find out more!
Five key takeaways from this episode:
- If you have gone through something traumatic, and therapy doesn’t seem to be helping, you can try to find other ways to soothe those emotions. Of course, I recommend professional support first, but you may also find that music helps, or that you don’t feel so alone when you connect with others. You may want to see if there are any local retreats in your area that seem of interest to you. Healing is possible, and you may even find that you want to help others on their healing journey.
- Parents get to be aware that their own behaviors and projections have a direct impact on their children. They see what you do, they hear what you say. They will remember all the things that you think they aren’t paying attention to. Young kids want nothing more than to be just like you.
- Have a daily check in for yourself. This helps get you into the right mindset. Your check-in can include affirmations or saying something nice ABOUT yourself TO yourself. Another part of this check-in can include doing something that YOU want to do for 10 minutes. Setting goals during this time can also help you focus on what you want to accomplish for the day ahead. And don’t forget to have fun and find one thing that makes you laugh.
- At the end of the day, reflect on 3 good things that happened that day. If you find it difficult to remember 3 things, when those good things happen, jot them down on a post-it note, or make a note in your phone. This process signals to your brain that even though it may not have seemed like the best day, that good things DID happen. You may even sleep better by doing this, and you will even start to train your brain to look for good things.
- Incorporate a daily dose of fun into each day. This is a good break if you or your kids need a few minutes to reset. This can be done by having a dance party, playing a quick game, or anything that makes you smile and laugh. This may even make it into one of your top 3 good things that happened that day.

34. Finding Your True Essence with Monica Schwemin
Tuesday Oct 11, 2022
Tuesday Oct 11, 2022
Today’s guest is Monica Schwemin. She is a former teacher who has learned a lot about herself on this journey of life and has found her true essence. She now helps others do the same. In this episode, we talk about some heavy hitters like unconditional love, codependency, and shadow work.
These are definitely some topics that you don’t want to miss, so tune in to learn more!
Five key takeaways from this episode:
- Unconditional love of yourself is always the first step on everyone’s healing journey. Once you figure out how to love yourself and see your own self-worth, you gain the confidence to be who you have always been before others told you who to be.
- If you feel like you are living for someone else, whether that is by trying to get them to do what you want them to do, or by rearranging your entire life to make others’ lives easier or happier, you may fall into the codependent category. If you are changing who you are to meet the emotional needs of others, consider the role codependency plays in your life. You make think you are trying to help them, but ultimately, you are trying to change others in a way that is acceptable to you.
- Shadows are the things that we keep hidden – the parts of ourselves that we don’t want others to see and that we don’t acknowledge about ourselves. Shadow work is taking these things and bringing them out into the light, seeing those things as part of who we are as our beautiful selves, releasing the judgement around those things, and accepting them.
- Life is like the process of making art. The finished piece is just icing on the cake. But it’s how you get to that finished piece that makes the journey meaningful. Live in your truth and see it for what it is, and you will love who you are.
- It’s ok to be who you are. You are perfect as you are right now. The world needs you to show up authentically, and it’s ok to keep working on yourself during this process. And always remember, what others think of you is none of your business.

33. Anxiety & the Chakras with Savannah Blake
Tuesday Oct 04, 2022
Tuesday Oct 04, 2022
Savannah Blake teaches meditation and energy work through yogic and vedic practices, specifically aimed at those with anxiety. She spent most of her life frozen in fear, to the point where she barely spoke until she was into her 20s and has dedicated the last 10 years to healing herself of this hurdle. She now helps others do the same through chakra work, energy practices, and lifestyle changes.
If you suffer from anxiety yourself, or if you have someone in your life that does, this episode may help bring some things to light. We talk about different kinds of anxiety, what some of the triggers might be, and what chakras are tied to it.
And don’t worry if you aren’t familiar with the chakra system. Savannah explains it all and breaks it down into easy to digest information. Tune in to learn more!
Five key takeaways from this episode:
- Anxiety is our body’s alarm system that something is wrong. It doesn’t tell you WHAT is wrong, although sometimes you may get some hints, so try to listen to where you are feeling the anxiety in your body to see if that helps.
- In some cases, anxiety may be related to something outside of you, such as a food allergy. This can be diagnosed by a doctor or by doing an elimination diet. Any allergy CAN cause anxiety because it’s your body letting you know that something is off.
- If you are feeling anxious, try unplugging once in a while. We live in a state of constant activity and our minds can’t differentiate between different kinds of stress. Anxiety can even be caused by watching something on your phone. By taking time to step away from it all, you give your nervous system a chance to return to homeostasis.
- The chakra system is made up of energy centers located in your body, usually along the spine. While there are many chakras, we focus on 7 of them. There are 3 physical chakras, 3 spiritual chakras, and the heart chakra in the center, which connects them. Our chakras connect our physical bodies to our energetic aura, so each chakra is attributed to different parts of our bodies.
- There are three chakras that are tied to anxiety. They are:
- The root chakra, which is associated with basic needs.
- The solar plexus chakra, which is associated with success and confidence.
- The throat chakra, which is associated with self-expression.
If you are feeling anxiety in any of these areas, or if you feel blocked, experiment with different modalities such as meditation, to see if any of them work to alleviate your anxiety. Once you identify the block, you can rework it.

32. Human Design & Self-Care with Kristi Sullivan
Tuesday Sep 27, 2022
Tuesday Sep 27, 2022
Kristi H. Sullivan a Human Design and Self Care expert, author, and speaker on a mission to help busy women STOP OVERWORKING AND START OVERFLOWING! She hosts a virtual community for female personal development junkies (like herself) to create better wellness, improve relationships, shift mindsets, and manifest more success, wealth, and freedom - to live their best life “by design.”
Kristi is lead author of a best-selling Amazon book called Stop Overworking & Start Overflowing: 25 Ways to Transform Your Life Using Human Design. She also is co-author of three collaborative books that were produced during the 2020 pandemic.
We talk a lot about self-care for the different design types on today’s episode, and Kristi even gives me a mini-reading, which I think is helpful so that everyone can see the types of information you can see in your own chart. If you’re interested in human design, tune in to learn more!
Five key takeaways from this episode:
- Your human design doesn’t change like other personality tests because it’s based on your birth information. Human design can really complement other tests and quizzes to help you discover your energy type, who you are, and you are NOT.
- There are over 3 billion combinations of a human design chart. With the world population at around 8 billion people, it is unlikely that you will ever find someone with your exact chart. You are truly unique, but there are only 5 different energy types, so you may easily find someone else with your same type. Energy type is the best place to start when you are learning human design.
- Thirty percent of the population is meant to take a lot of downtime throughout the day to recharge their batteries. The energy types that make up this population are projectors, manifestors, and reflectors. So if this sounds like you, allow yourself to rest as needed, and to drop the guilt. You are literally designed to need to recharge often. And if this sounds like you, but you are a generator or a manifesting generator, there is a good chance that you are dealing with burnout in your life.
- Burnout can happen for any design type, especially if you are spending too much time doing things you don’t love, you’re saying “yes” to too much, or what you are doing is not in alignment with your design. Take some time to look how each area of your life makes you feel, and if changes need to be made.
- Be a screen, not a sponge. Recognize that you can sense things in different ways, regardless of your design type. It can be heightened with trauma or life experiences. Be discerning of what is yours and what energy belongs to others. You’ll be more likely to take on the thoughts and emotions of others in areas where your centers are open or undefined.

31. Honoring Your Feelings with Sophie Watson
Tuesday Sep 20, 2022
Tuesday Sep 20, 2022
Sophie Watson worked in the health industry for over 20 years when she came to a breaking point and felt like she wasn’t in control of her own life. She started working on herself and today works with other women to create lives they love.
In today’s episode, we talk about how to overcome the difficult times in life and how it’s important to allow yourself to feel what you’re feeling without trying to fix or change those emotions. Sophie gives us a lot of ideas for things we can do when we’re in the middle of grief to honor the feelings while also allowing us to move through it at our own pace. Tune in to find out more!
Five key takeaways from this episode:
- Once you make a decision about something that aligns with your highest self, the universe will put the right people and situations in front of you. Don’t ignore the signs. It’s showing you that you’re on the right path.
- When things in your life seem overwhelming, find things that make you feel better and do those things. If that means watching a movie on repeat for a while, that’s ok. There is no right or wrong way to feel grief and there is no right or wrong way to feel better.
- If your energy isn’t where you would like it to be for yourself, your business, or any part of your life, it’s ok to put things on pause for a bit while you work through it. Be kind to yourself and take care of yourself.
- Allow yourself to feel your feelings as they come and don’t deny them. Try some practices to bring more awareness to your feelings and to lift you up such as meditation, listening to music, or getting out in nature.
- The best way to get out of your head is to be in the present moment and recognize what you are grateful for. Notice your surroundings and what you love about those things and it will help you bring you out of your head and into your heart. And if you cry, that’s perfectly ok. We are all human beings and we all cry sometimes.

30. Parenting with Joy with Leslie Potter
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
Leslie Potter is a coach, psychotherapist, and spiritual inquirer that became a mom for the first time when she was 44 years old when she adopted her daughter from China. She encourages people to become who they always wanted to be as a parent through her PureJoy Parent Coach training, and she shares some insight on just how to do that in this episode.
Whether you are a parent, grandparent, stepparent, WANT TO BE parent, aunt, uncle, etc, you will be inspired by today’s episode while Leslie offers plenty of tools to support you in uncovering your intuition to parent the way you desire instead of listening to the way others tell you to do it.
Five key takeaways from this episode:
- Make space to listen to both your head and your heart. There is room for both, and it isn’t about negating either one. When you listen to both, they can start to have a conversation. That said, typically your heart will be the first speak because that’s where desire lives.
- When it comes to THEIR desires, your kids are looking for support, not for permission. By giving or WITHHOLDING permission for them to do something, you are making the decision about whether YOU are or are NOT ready for it. Invite them to tell you more so that you can reflect their desires back to them.
- You aren’t broken, so there is nothing to fix. However, you can start to become aware of the impact your childhood has on how you parent your own children. Take a look at what you are running from within your own childhood so that you can resolve it. If you can, look at the benefits of situations from when you were younger so that you can reframe what that experience means to you.
- Have a healthy separation with your children. Know the difference between YOUR childhood and THEIR childhood and try not to make their childhood mean something about YOU. If there is something you didn’t have when you were a kid, you get to give yourself what you need now. Giving that thing to your child doesn’t replace your own needs. Don’t try to parent yourself THROUGH your child.
- Having boundaries with your children isn’t about control – it’s about determining what is ok with you and what is NOT ok with you about how you treat YOURSELF. You will never have to say “not” to your child if you can offer SOMETHING. Find what you ARE ok with through conversation with them, and you won’t put yourself in the position to have to say “no” because you will be offering what you are ok with.
